As chosen by members of the Editorial board and based on their high quality, impact and interest, we are pround of our contributions to the field and delighted that one of our papers has made it into the Journal of optics highlights of 2017. We have significant contributions to the Roadmaps on Structured Light.
After making the editos’ choice (OSA), our paper on the resilience of Bessel beams to aberrations and turbulence has made it into the Journal of the Optical society of America A top 10 downloads for June.
Established in 1966, the 23rd OptoElectronics and Communications Conference (OECC) will be held at the International Convention Center, Jeju Island, Korea, from the 2nd July until the 6th July, with issues in Photonics, Optoelectronics, Nanophotonics, Biophotonics, Metamaterials, Plasmonics and Communications being the main focus.
Bienvenu and Nokwazi have received at the 2018 SAIP conference. Bienvenu has received a prize for the best PhD oral presentation and Nokwazi received a prize for the best PhD poster presentation.
Are Bessel beams resilient to aberrations and turbulence? Nokwasis’ work on this issue has been published in the Journal of the Optical Society of America (OSA), and has selected as an editors pick. Nokwazi’s response to this achievement was: “It is always a great feeling when the work we do gets recognition. It serves as affirmation that our work makes a difference in filling the knowledge gap in science. It is indeed a great honour.”
